Taking Down a Hard Leaning Tree — Solo on a Hillside!

Dropped 4 trees solo on this hillside — 3 dead firs standing straight and 1 live fir with a heavy lean right at the house. Took some careful planning, rigging know-how, and wedge work to get them all on the ground safely.

This kind of setup could go wrong fast if you don’t know what you’re doing — especially with that leaner.

The client decided that it was time for this Weeping Willow to be removed. So starting off with my pole saw to get the low branches and move my way up the tree. Being creative goes a long way when removing a tree, but there are times where you have to do some rigging, so I did some strap rigging toward the end with some larger wood over the sidewalk. Over all, It was a fun removal.
